আমাদের মনে হয় আপনারা সকলেই কোনো কিছু না ভেবে নির্দ্বিধায় বলে দিতে পারবেন যে, বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান প্রেক্ষাপটে সবথেকে জনপ্রিয় খেলা হচ্ছে ক্রিকেট। ক্রিকেট পাগল বাংলাদেশে প্রতিনিয়তই হাজার হাজার তরুণ-তরুণী একই স্বপ্নে বিভোর থাকেন যে, তারা একদিন দেশের হয়ে খেলবেন,নিজ দেশকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবেন।
ক্রিকেটার হবার স্বপ্নে বিভোর থাকা এসকল হাজার হাজার তরুণ-তরুণীদের মধ্য থেকে হয়তো কারো কারো স্বপ্ন শেষ পর্যন্ত পূরণ হয় আবার কারো কারো হয়তো কোনো কারনে পূরণ হয় না। তাই বলে তো আর স্বপ্ন দেখা কেউ বাদ দিয়ে দেয় না। এই সকল হাজার হাজার তরুণ-তরুণীদের ক্রিকেটার হবার স্বপ্নের শুরুটাই হয়ে থাকে কোনো না কোনো ক্রিকেট একাডেমিতে ভর্তি হওয়ার মাধ্যমে।
